First Time Visitor
Here's what to expect when visiting Vertical Kids for the first time:
First
• Look for a volunteer with the "First Time Family? I Can help! sign.”
• We will meet your family, check your child into our system, and then one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room.
Then
• Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information
• Parent/guardian name(s), child's name, child's birthdate, home address, phone number, and any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children.
NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone
What We Do
We want to make sure you and your child are comfortable joining us for the first time in our classrooms. Here’s an idea of what you can expect your child to participate in while they are with us in Vertical Kids:
After being checked-in kids go to their age-appropriate classroom where they will be greeted by a teacher who has been trained and fully vetted by our Vertical Kids Leadership. To start the morning, our teachers lead the class in worship time. Then they sit and watch age-specific videos of their weekly lesson. Once they have finished the videos, the teachers will go through activities that encourage the kids to think more on what they just heard.
The activities can include simple coloring pages, brain games, team challenges, and sometimes will also include physical games. Kids are encouraged to have lots of fun while learning in our classrooms!
Check-In
Before Service
• You can check-in your child at the kiosk located in the lobby using your current phone number.
• After finding your child's name in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the tag portion while you hold on to the matching tag.
During Service
• In the event that we need to contact you during the service, your child's identification code will appear on one of the screens in the auditorium. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child's room.
After Service
• After the service is complete, return to your child's room and show your tag. Your child will then be released back to you!
